The wait is over! If you read my last blog post, then you know it was a struggle to find the perfect Rose Gold Duvet Set for our master bedroom. After hunting for which seemed like forever. I finally found some lovely options online and decided to go for a Duvet Set designed by British bedding company Portfolio Home.

And man, they did not disappoint with this design. I absolutely love it! The duvet set is totally my style and the perfect colour combination for our bedroom room.
I have had the Quartz Set for a some months now, so I will be able to give you a full review on whether this set is worth your coins.

Yea it looks good, but is it good quality
When I placed my order in January, I was a little apprehensive because I brought an item just from what it looked like online and from a website I have never purchased from before. For me when it comes to materials and fabrics, I always like to see and feel them to determine their quality. But nowadays this is not always possible. So I took a leap and went for it. The order came quickly and when I opened the packaging, I was not disappointed.
Lets get into this Review!
Design
I adore the chevron pattern; it was the design that really pushed me to choose this duvet Set. Plus when I opened the packaging to see that it was weaved with metallic threads, that just elevated the design even more from other sets I own. Its contemporary design, will look great in a bedroom where the bedding is the focal point. The chevron design only features on the face of the duvet set, the reverse is a simple off-white material.
The Quartz Set has a standard pillowcase opening and the duvet has a button closing. When I changed my bedding to this set, I did find that there was space in the duvet cover. This might be because my duvet is not thick enough or maybe the Quartz Set sizes runs big.
The Duvet Set reverse fabric is soft on the skin and I find it is comfortable to sleep with. This may be due to the reverse being a Poly-cotton blend.
colour
Rose Gold – the colour matched the image online and for me it was the perfect shade of rose gold. I find some rose gold can look too copper, but there is definitely a red undertone.
White – the colour was more of an off white than a pure white. This may be due to the weaving process as the rose gold threads are underneath. But this does not take anything away from how good the colours look together.
I have washed the Quartz set a few times now and it still looks great. The colour has not changed or faded and the rose gold is still popping. I have however noticed some pilling (bobbling) in places, but I just remove the few I see by hand.
what i am loving
- Colour: Its an obvious one I know, but I have to highlight it. Rose Gold and White was a difficult combination to find.
- Quality Design: You are probably tired of me mentioning it but I genuinely love the design. Its timeless and will not become outdated.
- Budget Friendly: I would say the price of this bedding set is good for the type of item you receive.
- Metallic Thread: The Jacquard weaving with the metallic Thread really enhances the look of this bedding. Especially when it catches in the light.
what to look out for
- Reverse Fabric: I wish it was a little thicker, compared to the face fabric it is quite thin.
- Bobbling: I have seen this occur in small areas, something to keep in mind if you purchase it.
- Size: With the bedding I have, the Quartz Set was a little big. But it may fit better if your pillows and duvet are thicker.
- Ironing: I don’t usually iron my duvet sets, but I would definitely advice that you follow the instructions given. Especially because this is a Jacquard Fabric.

Overall given all that I have mentioned regarding The Quartz Rose Gold Duvet set. I would still highly recommend it to others. The Set is definitely worth the price and the design is just too gorgeous. It works perfectly in our bedroom, so much so that I have already brought the bedspread and matching cushions.
