Moodboard Theme: Scandi Neutral

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome back guys! Kicking of my first Blog Post for 2022, with none other than Moodboards! You all know I love creating moodboards to share and inspire you to get designing in your homes.

Over the Christmas break I was browsing through Pinterest and found some really stylish pieces that inspired me to create a scheme for a Livingroom and a Dining Room. So, this month’s Moodboard Theme is…Scandi Neutral!

Dining Room

I saw a few images where jute rugs were used in a dining room, which I thought looked nice. I always steer towards rugs made of wool, but jute rugs really warms the space whilst still adding texture. Also they are very durable!

In this space I envisioned the windows would be placed either side of the room and I thought large prints would be a nice back drop for the dining table.  Rather than the classic Hans Wegner Wishbone Chair, I opted for this slight variation. I love the more angular legs and backrest.

Lets have a look at what I created...

Livingroom

I love a neutral home and usually I always pair it with black (my second favourite colour to use in our home). However, I wanted to try and create a Scandi Neutral livingroom with cream, beige and brown. This colour palette is very on trend at the moment and using warm woods like mango, I think really compliments the neutral tones.

For this scheme, I had to use the popular modular sofa by Swyft Home. I have been seeing it all over Instagram. I love the clean lines and block design. I found the most perfect artwork, that had all the colours I wanted to use for this livingroom scheme. Its from Etsy, you can always find unique pieces on there.

Theme Complete!

I really enjoyed getting back into the swing of moodboard making. If I were ever to re-decorate my livingroom, I would definitely incorporate wood. If you are looking for more inspo check out my Pinterest Board Lounge Beige or Lounge Monochrome. Also if there are any interior styles you would like me to create a room for, let me know. Until my next blog post, stay blessed everyone.
