Moodboard Challenge: Monochrome Interior Re-Designed

I always save my mood board designs on my Pinterest account and recently I was looking over my designs and saw that a few have been very popular. When creating moodboards you never know how helpful they will be to others. So, seeing the engagement and feedback from you all really allows me to know what people are looking for.

My most popular moodboards are my monochrome designs. They have received many saves and comments, I even came across one in a YouTube video about creating a monochrome aesthetic! Viewing all the positive interest in these moodboards, prompted me to re-create them.

LIVING ROOM

The original design was purely monochrome two colours only black and white. For this re-make I stayed true to the original, playing with shapes and angels to give the space a real modern vibe. A major feature is definitely the kangaroo accent chair. It isn’t a chair you can snuggle in for a movie, but I love that it is a statement piece. I think a livingroom should have at least one feature that people are wowed by or curious about.

KITCHEN

My monochrome kitchen moodboard, is in my top five of most saved moodboards. The funny thing is I have only ever done one kitchen moodboard and thought it would be good to add another to my portfolio. And no its not another monochrome one. Recently I have been admiring the Modern Farmhouse style kitchen and wanted to create a scheme with this interior style. My favourite kitchen feature currently is the use of marble on the countertops and backsplash. I love the bold veining of the marble against the wood and the continuity from surface to wall.

Challenge Complete!

I love how these designs turned out especially the kitchen. I am really considering implementing this style of interior into our future home. If you liked what I have created, then hit the stars below to let me know. Sometimes I wonder if people still read blogs in this viral generation. But I still love to write and have a space that is purely mine.

Next time I think I will try and re-make some of the moodboards that have not had as much traction on Pinterest. Can I upgrade them? We will just have to wait and see. Until then, have a great new month everyone and speak to you in my next post. Stay Blessed.
