Hallway Furniture | Slimline Furniture For A Small Space

Happy Friday! If you follow me on Instagram, then you already saw that I am in the process of refreshing our hallway. I have completed one area. We created a little seating nook with a feature wall. It turned out great and it has been really practical too. You can view my Hallway Refresh here Part One.

The hallway still needs some work. This month I will be completing another area, the main wall in our hallway. When you open the front door, it’s the first thing you see. I think it needs to have some sort of statement, so people are wowed as they come in. But my searches haven’t been the most successful. This part of our hallway is narrow and furniture needs to be slim enough for us to pass unobstructed. I think I have found a couple options, just need to finalise what or if I should add any details to the wall. Plus once items are ordered, I will have to wait a while for them to arrive.

So in the meantime, I thought it might be useful to share some of my furniture finds. Someone may have a small space and be in need of slimline furniture. I have saved my top six pieces and linked everything under each image.

Lets have a look at what I found...

Hallway Furniture

Benches

You already saw the bench I choose from my last blog post. But I wanted to share the other options, I came across online. My favourite was the Nancy Bench by Maze, but it was way out of my budget. So I had to find a budget friendly alternative and I think the JYSK bench fit our small space perfectly. All the designs are streamline, it helps make a small space feel more open.

Runners

I am yet to add a runner to our hallway, still can not find exactly what i am looking for (so annoying). I did however come across these monochromatic ones, that had some nice unique designs. The runner by Ruggable is washable, a bonus for heavy traffic areas like hallways.

Consoles

These are what I found recently, as I mentioned before I want to add a console to our main wall. But it can not be bulky and take up too much floor space. We need to be able to pass by easily, as the pathway to the bedrooms is narrower that the main entrance. I think I am going to choose a half moon shape, I like the look of the softer edges and less likely to cause any injury lol.

Mirrors

As you can tell I love a sleek design and the Nordic/Scandi Aesthetic. When you have a smaller space, mirrors are a must. They help to illuminate the room and bounce the light around to help make the room seem bigger. Mirrors that are frameless or have a slim frame help maintain that open feel. Personally, I have been eyeing number 4.

Doormats

The first introduction to your home is the doormat. They are no longer a plain mat to wipe feet, now companies are making more welcoming designs and funny slogans so visitors are greeted by you even before you open the door.  There are so many designs and you can find personalised ones on etsy. I really liked the Tile Mats by LetterFolk, its pricey I know but so cool.

And Were Done!

That’s all my top finds, I hope this was useful and you were able find items that could work in your home. I will be sharing updates and ideas for the next part of my styling project, on my stories. Keep an eye out for my Hallway Refresh Part 2 coming soon. Until then stay blessed everyone.
